  • Odd Jottings - No 8 - Something for the weekend?... Forgeries, Marie, Queen of Romania and recollections of buying 1s 3d stamp packets in Woolworth's give Old Codger food for thought.

  • New Issues - The new Marianne et l'Europe definitives from France;  Estonia gives the posthorn a new look; "trams and trains" featuring stamps from Belgium, Portugal and Norway; whilst  Denmark takes us down to the allotment.

  • A Journey of Ingenuity - 400 Years of Written Communication and mail Delivery - Paul Zatulove describes developments over the centuries that culminated in the hobby we know today. 

  • The 250th Anniversary of Nelson's Birth - A miscellany of postal history including some going back to Nelson's day is described by David Turner.

  • A New List of Philatelic Pseudonyms - Many of us have come across philatelic pseudonyms over the years and enjoyed the fruits of their pens. But who were they? Brian J Birch explains in the first part of his comprehensive survey.

  • New Issues - The Joint Issue from China and Great Britain for the Olympic Handover and the events commemorated by China over the past four years since its handover; Royal Mail commemorates the 50th Anniversary of Country Stamps (or "Regionals" as they were known in 1958) and offers the public a choice for Christmas 2008. Finally Portugal adds some denominated stamps to its Urban Transport series.
