  • The Order of the Knights of Malta - Medical Missions and Hospital Trains 1914-1918 - Keith Tranmer explains how the Knights of Malta set up Hospital Trains in Austria-Hungary at the start of World war I, with illustrations of relevant covers and a vivid description of conditions as the Empire faced defeat in 1918.

  • Fiji: The November/December 1941 PanAm Transpacific Service -  David Alford continues his look at how PanAm's Transpacific flights served Fiji as war reached the Pacific in 1941.

  • The 1953 Coronation Issues - What we published at the time - Sixty years ago Stamp Lover greeted the new stamps from the Commonwealth and Empire being issued to celebrate the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Michael Goodman takes a look into the archives.

  • Inverts and Bisects - Dave Hill takes a overview of some of the famous inverts and bisects, whilst Michael Goodman reports on the USA half cent bisect recently sold at auction for US$52,500.

    • The Games of the Small States of Europe are commemorated by the host nation, Luxembourg.

    • The Bahamas mark the 120th Anniversary of the Royal Bahamas Police Force Band.

    • Liechtenstein commemorates on the 90th anniversary of its customs union with Switzerland.

    • Canada issues a stamp for the 150th Anniversary of the Princess of Wales' Own Regiment in the style of the three regimental stamps issued last year.

    • The Falkland Islands marks the death of Lady Thatcher.
        

  • Meeting reports -  Detailed and illustrated reports on the National PS Country Meeting at Westbex on 23 March, Ed Hitchings' Display of Great Britain Revenues given on Saturday 9 March, and Aspects of the postal history of the British West Indies given by Simon Richards on 20 April 2013.

  • Postal History, Television and the "what's it worth?" approach -  recalling how the well-known philatelists used to appear on television talking about stamps Keith Tranmer suggests that these days postal historians talking about their finds on television shows such as the Antiques Road Show might be a way of bringing people into the hobby. 
     

  • The National Philatelic Society and its various homes - From "Johnny" Johnson' offices at 44 Strand through to the British Postal Museum & Archive, Dave Hill looks at the Society's homes over the years.

  • Fiji: The November/December 1941 PanAm Transpacific Service -  David Alford continues his look at how PanAm's Transpacific flights served Fiji as war leads to the suspension of the new service.

  • Open Philately - Given equal status to the other FIP (Fédération Internationale de Philatélie) classes in 2012, Open Philately exhibits were judged for the first time at Melbourne in May 2013. Birthe King, FRPSL looks at the new class with particular reference to her own exhibit Denmark: Conscience, Conflict and Camps 1932-1949.

  • How the local postmaster aided Midpex 2013 - Bryan Jones describes how first day cancellations were secured for the new Post & Go material at Midpex.

  • New Issues
