Membership of the ABPS is through affiliated Associations/Federations, National, Specialist and Local Societies.

Individuals can also join the ABPS as Patrons and Friends of Philately. Whilst having no voting rights, Patrons and Friends receive copies of ABPS News and the ABPS Handbook. They can also take advantage of all other services provided by the Association. Patrons and Friends are, of course, free to express their views and opinions via the ABPS News and at the Association’s Annual General Meeting.
